Instructions

The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!

For the other cuts you’ll need:

  • Cardstock – White, cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
  • Cardstock – Blue, cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″

Let’s start by inking up just the base of the tree in Espresso Truffle Ink. Stamp it in the middle of the card at the bottom. Color the trunk in with a brown colored pencil.

Lay a ruler at the top of the card and draw a line across the bottom of the ruler (so it’s a space from the top of the card the width of the ruler). Check the StampRight  Placement Line on the Tiny Candle Peg Stamp and draw any additional lines on your stamp. Using the StampRight  Placement Line, stamp the candle in blue ink at each end of the line you traced a bit in from the card edge and in the center. Then stamp in between the center candle and the left candles as well as the center candle and the right candle. Then, stamp on either side of the candle you just stamped on each side to give you 9 candles.

From each candle down to the trunk sketch a branch of the hanukkiah with a pencil. Stamp the Mini Cherry Branch in brown ink at the base of all the candles, rotating the stamp to match the direction of the hanukkiah branch. Stamp it again on either side of the trunk and a few times depending on length of hanukkiah branch along all 9 branches. Stamp the Tiny Cherry Blossom Leaf in Bamboo Leaves along the branch of the hanukkiah. Stamp the Tiny Fern in Pear Tart Ink along the branch and the Tiny Candytuft in New Sprout Ink and the Tiny 9 Branch Open in Espresso Truffle Ink.

If you like you can draw in pieces of the branch with a brown colored pencil and add a yellow hallow around the flame of the candle and a little glitter with a Gelly Roll pen.

Stamp the sentiment in blue ink at the base of the hanukkiah. Glue the stamped panel to the blue panel and then stamp that to the card base.

For the envelope, stamp the Tiny Cherry Blossom Leaf three times and stamp the Tiny Candle coming out of the leaves, decorate the top of the candle with a yellow colored pencil.
