The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in pink cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
We will focus our stamping to the top and bottom, leaving the middle unstamped, of the mixed media paper.
Rub gelatos onto the Jumbo Heart. I chose pinks and reds and remember, you can put more than one color on a stamp. Spritz with water and stamp. Clean the stamp if you are switching colors. Repeat until you get all the hearts stamped.
For the Jumbo Leaf stamp, I chose about the only decent green in the set which was a chartreuse. I just used that same color again and again. Rubbing, spritzing, and stamping.
Now, rub gelatos onto the Tiny Flower. I chose blues and violets and I mixed and matched them on the stamp. Again, rubbing, spritzing, and stamping.
On an acrylic block, rub metallic gelaots, spritz with water and collect all that metallic goodness with a paint brush. Flick the colors onto your stamping paper and let dry.
Place the XX largest A2 matting die onto the stamped paper. Place the, “hello” die in the center, where we did not stamp as much. Tape these down if need-be, but run them through the Big Shot at the same time.
Pop out the hello die and save the centers of the letters.
Wrap a pink ribbon between the bottom of the die cut and the bottom of the card and adhere with clear tape on the back. Apply 3-D tape to the back of the stamped panel, making sure to get tape near the letters to reinforce that part of the card. Remove the tape backing and adhere to the pink card base. Cut a small strip of ribbon and tie around the ribbon on the card.
Attach a bit of foam tape to the back of the letter’s centers and apply.
Let’s make an envelope! Cut a sheet of pink cardstock o 8″ x 8″. Add the Scor-Envi to the Scor-Pal Eighths and place the cardstock against it. Score at 9″ and 3″. Rotate the paper and score at 8-1/4″ and 3-3/4″. Snip the corners and fold (bump inside). Mark and cut the left/right flap and glue or tape the sides together. Use the 1″ corner punch to round out the top flap.
