Instructions
The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in blue cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Cardstock – White (5-1/4′ x 4″ and enough for circle die cut)
- Cardstock – Glitter (3/4″ x 4″ and enough for circle die cut)
Out of glitter cardstock, die cut the fourth largest circle and from white cardstock, die cut the fifth largest circle.
Place the hillside stencil on the white circle with about 1/3 of the bottom of the circle covered by the stencil. Brush on Summer Sky ink, pulling the ink in from the outside which will darken the edge of the die cut.
Using the StampRight Placement line, stamp the Mini and Tiny Penguins in a row along the snowy hillside in Nocturne ink.
Spritz some water into the white pearlescent watercolor well and with a brush color in the white portion of the die cut. This will give white shimmery to the snowy hillside. Fill in the white portions of the penguins bodies with a white gel pen. Set die cut aside.
From the top of the white cardstock panel, measure down 1-3/4″ and draw a faint line. Place the masking paper on this line leaving the top portion of the card unmasked.
Stamp the Mini Lace Snowflake in Summer Sky ink, then Paris Dusk, then Bahama Blue. Make sure you clean your stamp in-between ink colors. Stamp the Tiny Octo Snowflake the same way in those three colors. Finally, Stamp the Tiny Crystal Snowflake the same way. Brush Bahama Blue ink around the edge of this stamped portion. Remove the mask.
Wrap the thin blue ribbon around the center of the 4′ x 3/4″ and secure on the backside with tape. Glue to the bottom of the card.
Mount the sentiment on the acrylic block and using Paradise ink, stamp it just above the glitter paper.
Glue the white die cut to the glitter die cut and attach foam tape to the back. Adhere about an inch from the top of the card. Glue the assembled panel to the blue card base. Add glitter glue to the centers of all the snowflakes.
For the envelope, stamp the snowflakes in Summer Sky Ink across the bottom half of the front of the envelope. Stamp the Penguins along the bottom in Nocturne ink.
