  • Embossing Folder – Tim Holtz Alterations – ?

The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in cream cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!

For the other cuts you’ll need:

  • Cardstock – Orange (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and scrap piece)
  • Cardstock – Purple (5-1/4″ x 4″)
  • Cardstock – White (5-1/4″ x 4″)
  • Cardstock – Olive Green (scrap)
  • Cardstock – Pale Yellow (scrap)

Place the curvy die on the purple paper and cut a few inches from the top and bottom and discard the center piece. Now, place the top and bottom in the embossing folder and run it through the die cutting machine.

Place the top die cut at the top of the white cardstock and trace and do the same for the bottom die cut. This tells you the area in which you are to stamp.

Stamp the Mini Leaf in sunflower ink along the lines you’ve drawn, stamping twice before reinking and making the border about 2 leaves wide. Stamp the same stamp in chartreuse ink, stamping over some of the leaves you stamped before.

Stamp the Tiny Pumpkin Leaf in chartreuse. Stamp the Mini Pumpkin in monarch ink three times in a line between the leaf borders.

Stamp the Tiny Pumpkin in monarch ink in between the Mini Pumpkins. Stamp the Tiny Leaf in sunflower ink to fill in around the pumpkins. Stamp the Tiny Slinky Loop in watering can ink all over the stamped area.

Stamp the Tiny Pumpkin Leaf in fern green for contrast.

Now, it’s time to do a lot of die cutting! Place the lace-looking border die and the “thanks,” on the orange paper and one of the leaf branch dies on the green paper and another on the yellow paper. Run those through the machine.

Let’s assemble this card. Glue the stamped panel to the orange cardstock. Glue down the top and bottom embossed purple die cuts to the stamped panel. Glue the, “thanks” to the lower purple die cut and the two die cut leaf branches to the top purple panel then glue the orange panel over that.

For the envelope stamp the same stamps in the same inks across the bottom of the front of the envelope.
