Instructions

The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!

For the other cuts you’ll need:

  • Cardstock – White, cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel and a piece for the envelope.
  • Cardstock – Blue, full sheet and a scrap

First emboss the A2 base and pus aside. Mount the canning jar stamp on an acrylic block and ink with Stazon. Stamp it on a scrap or small piece of clear cardstock or acetate. Cut out.

Apply clear foam tape around the clear cutout. You may have to cut the tape down the middle. Be sure to apply anti static powder to the roll of clear foam tape for easier release.

Stamp the jar again on a piece of blue cardstock and cut out. Sprinkle beads into the center of the cutout with the clear foam tape. With the stamped side down, adhere the blue cutout to the clear cutout.

Mount the sentiment and ink with Nocturne. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom of the white cardstock panel. Place the jar on the white cardstock panel to determine where to stamp the flowers.

Stamp the Mini Marigold Signata stamp in Monarch ink, stamp it a few times without re-inking for a variation in color. I stamp them in groups of three.

Clean the stamp and stamp the Mini Marigold Signata again in Glamorous ink, also in groups if three and stamp twice without re-inking.

Stamp the Tiny Accent Trio in Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink. I stamp these near the grouping of the other flowers.

Stamp the Tiny Triple Fern Right in Shady Lane ink, nestling them in among the flowers. Stamp the Tiny Weathered Maple Small in Shady Lane ink, nestling them in among the flowers. Stamp the leaves again without re-inking for a variation in color. Stamp the Tiny Falling Flower in Shady Lane ink as if they’re falling from the bouquet.

Stamp the Mini Starry Night Butterfly in Nocturne ink. Using a green colored pencil draw in the stems of the flowers.

Apply double-sided tape to the back of the shaker and adhere to the card panel.

Using a ruler, “stitch” around the panel with a fine-tip black Sharpie.

Glue the panel to the embossed card base.

For the envelope use the Scor-Envi to create the envelope. Snip your corners and have everything but folding ready. Using a foliage die, die cut near the bottom of the envelope front. Flip over so the, “bump” is facing up. Trim the clear cardstock to fit over the die cut with a bit of room around it.

Apply glue to any small areas so that it won’t rip up in the mail. Place the clear cardstock over the die cut area. Press down to spread the glue. Flip over and rub away any glue that came through the other side.

Using the corner punch, punch the envelope flap. This will help you keep the envelope in the correct orientation. Flip the envelope so the inside of the envelope is up. Apply foam tape around the die cut. Sprinkle in the beads. Apply foam tape to the rest of the envelope in the area above the shaker area. I placed one strip across the top and four pieces vertically between the top and the die cut section.

Cut a piece of white cardstock that will fit in the inside of the envelope. Remove release paper from tape and adhere the white cardstock. Fold the envelope, trimming the center fold as always. Glue the folds and finish the envelope. Apply double-sided tape to the envelope flap to use later when the card is mailed.
