Instructions
The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Watercolor Cardstock, cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Cardstock – White, cut to 8″ x 8″
Place a 3-1/2′ circle die in the center of the watercolor paper and trace.
Stamp the Mini Full of Hearts Peg Stamp in Wilted Violet ink at the top right and bottom left of the circle. Stamp the same stamp again (after cleaning) in Picked raspberry ink at the top left and bottom right, next to the first image.
Stamp the Tiny Double Hearts in Festive Berries ink at the right and left of the circle. So, we have stampings in the north, south, east, and west of the circle.
Stamp the Tiny Straight Leaf in Peeled paint ink on either side of the hearts. Stamp the Mini Saponaria Open Large in Wilted Violet ink at the right of the bottom hearts, left of the top hearts, above the hearts on the right and below the hearts on the left. Clean the stamp and ink with Picked Raspberry and stamp again at the left of the bottom hearts, right of the top hearts, below the hearts on the right and above the hearts on the left.
Stamp the Tiny Straight Leaf in Peeled Paint across from each other between double hearts all around the card. Let it dry and then erase the pencil traced circle.
With a water brush, move the ink around on each image, noting to go easy on the Full of Hearts so you don’t blur out the small hearts. Go to each element, color by color and move the Distress Ink with the water to create a water colored effect.
For the envelope, cut a piece of white cardstock to 8″ x 8″ and place the Scor-Envi on the Scor Pal. Follow the directions for making an A2 size card.
On the flap portion stamp all the stamps in the same colors that we used on the card and do this all over the inside of the flap.
