Instructions

The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in green cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!

For the other cuts you’ll need:

Cardstock – White, cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
Envelope – Kraft

Mount and ink up the large tree in Shady Lane ink with the trunk in Fallen Leaves and stamp it in the right side of the white cardstock. Fill in the tree by stamping in Shady Lane ink the Mini Flax Peg Stamp. Ink up and stamp the small grouping of trees and stamp two more times without reinking for a variation in color. These will be stamped on the left side of the card.

Place the Hillside Stencil under the large tree and brush on Desert Sand ink. Rotate the stencil a couple more times, brushing on Bamboo Leaves to create several hills. Brush on Bamboo Leaves ink at the bottom of the card around the stump.

Place the Cloud Stencil at the top of the card, brush on Summer Sky ink. Rotate and place under the first impression. Continue down the paper brushing on ink and rotating the stencil.

Stamp the Mini Landing Bird in the top left of the card in Fallen Leaves ink. Stamp the Deer Family Peg Stamp Set in various colors of brown. Stamp the Tiny Fresh Grass in Shady Lane around the deer, stamping again without reinking for a variation in color. Using a colored pencil, fill in the stump with Dark Brown and the stone with Silver Metallic.

Stamp the Tiny Happy Squirrel in Fallen Leaves ink near the base of the large tree.

Stamp the Mini Grass Blades in Shady Lane ink in the stump, stamping without reinking for a variation of color. Stamp the Tiny Blinky Flower in Paradise ink. Stamp the Shade Plant in Shady Lane ink and stamp again without reinking for a variation in color. Stamp the Tiny Airy Sprig in Verdant ink within the plants you’ve already stamped.

Stamp the Tiny Fairy Butterfly Small in Summertime ink. Fill in with a yellow pencil. Stamp the Tiny Compact Butterfly in Medieval Blue ink, fill in with lilac. Fill in the top of the stump with a green pencil.

Add white dots to the baby deer with a white gel pen. Stamp the Mini Squirrel in Acorn ink.

Run the ink pad along the edge of the card, blue for the top and green for the bottom.

Apply 1/4 double-sided tape to the back side and adhere to the card base.

Stamp the sentiment in the inside of the card in Fallen Leaves ink.

For the envelope, apply 1/2″ Purple Tape around the edges and a piece of 1.5″ Purple Tape in the center where the to address will go. Stamp the stump on the front of the envelope in Fallen Leaves ink and color with the same pencils like before.

Stamp the large tree in Shady Lane and the trunk in Pinecone ink and stamp toward the right. Fill in the tree as before with the Mini Flax Peg Stamp. Stamp the various leaves and flowers as before, bu this time fill in the flower centers with the white gel pen. Stamp the Mini Landing Bird in Fallen Leaves ink and the Tiny Happy Squirrel in Acorn ink.

Remove the Purple Tape. Trace around the area created by the tape with the white gel pen. Draw a scroll using the hillside stencil in pencil in the area where the tape is in the middle and trace it with the white gel pen.
