Instructions

The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in cream cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!

In addition to the card base, we will need a piece of:

  • kraft cardstock cut to 5-1/2 x 4-1/4
  • white cardstock cut to 5-1/4″ x 4″
  • white cardstock circle die cut to 3″
  • green cardstock cut to 1″ x 5″
  • kraft cardstock 3″ x 4-1/4″
  • purple cardstock cut to 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″

Start by stamping the Mini Cherry Branch in green all along the edge of the largest piece of white cardstock. Stamp without re-inking for a variation in color.

On the smallest piece of kraft cardstock rub with anti-static powder and then stamp the Tiny Three Cherry Flower and the Mini Cherry Branch in VersaMark ink. Cover with clear embossing powder and melt with a heat tool.

On the 3″ die cut circle place the smaller circle die in the middle and trace lightly with a pencil. Stamp the Mini Cherry Branch in green along the traced line, alternating between the inside and outside of the circle and leaving enough space between to stamp it again. Once you go around the circle, then go back with the same stamp and this time stamp it in brown in those spaces that you left. You can continue to flesh out the wreath, making it fuller, but be mindful to stamp within the die cut, you don’t want to stamp so that the branch goes off the paper.

Stamp the Tiny Three Cherry Flower in pink then again without re-inking for a lighter color all around the wreath on top of the branches you’ve already stamped. Highlight the edges of the circle by scraping the ink pad along the edge of the die cut.

Brush Wink of Stella gold on the center of the flowers for sparkle.

On the piece of green cardstock, brush on anti-static powder and then stamp the “happy birthday” in VersaMark ink at the far right, about 1/2″ from the edge. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with a heat tool.

Now, it’s time to layer the paper! Glue the white background paper to the largest kraft paper. Then, glue the smaller kraft cardstock to the purple cardstock and glue that to the white background paper. Glue the green cardstock over the purple and kraft cardstock from the left edge of the purple cardstock to the far right of the larger kraft cardstock. Place the ribbon over the green cardstock (same dimension) and glue the circle with the wreath over it. Now glue the layered paper to the card base.

To make the envelope snazzy stamp the Mini Cherry Branch and the Tiny Cherry Flowers along the flap of the envelope in VersaMark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with a heat tool.
