Instructions

The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!

For the other cuts you’ll need:

  • Cardstock – White, cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and an A2 base
  • Cardstock – Pink, cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″

On the white cardstock panel, either stamp the sentiment, or place the sentiment cutout so that you’ll get an idea of where everything else will go.

Ink up and stamp the clawfoot tub in Watering Can ink toward the top of the paper. Using the colored pencils listed above, color in the tub and grass.

Stamp the Tiny Hydrangea in Forget-Me-Not, Violet, and Pink Peony, cleaning the stamp between ink applications. Stamp the Bitty Leaf in Fern Green ink, rotating the StampRight Placement Line toward the flowers. Stamp the Bitty Branch in Fern Green ink, even stamping some coming out of the shower head.

The Bubbles Stencil is really cool because you can stencil a line of bubbles, then you can lay the etched section on top of what was stenciled and it will place the next stencil in line so that it looks good.

Use the same inks that you stamped with and brush on with a blending brush, mixing and matching the inks to create a rainbow look. Stamp a larger bubble in the top right corner.

Using the white gel pen, mark the reflection. You’ll just fill in the one on the larger bubble.

If you’re using a printed sentiment, glue it to the card.

Cut a piece of the pink and blue baker’s twine and twist together. Wrap it around the card, under the bathtub and tape it on the backside. Tie the purple jute onto the pink and blue twine.

Glue the stamped panel onto the pink cardstock and glue that to the card base. Brush the clear Wink of Stella over the bubbles.

Now, we’ll decorate the envelope. Using the Bubbles stencil, apply the same inks as before, across the front of the envelope. Stamp the Hydrangea Blooms again under the bubbles and brush on clear Wink of Stella.
