The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in blue cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score at 2-1/8″ and 6-3/8″ flip and rub with bone folder.
Cut out the dies out four times and set aside one copy to use for the envelope. Glue the other three to each other to create a thicker die cut. Place the gate on the right card flap, about midway through the gate and lie up with the bottom of the card. Mark lightly the top of the gate so you’ll know where the flowers need to go.
Stamp the Mini Grass in pear tart across the card. Stamp again in bamboo leaves. Brush on pear tart to the lower part of the card to the bottom. Stamp the Tiny Little Flower in grape jelly, lilac posies, and love letter. Stamp the Tiny Simple Poinsettia in tangelo.
Stamp the unmounted tree in rich cocoa. Stamp the Tiny Stiltgrass in bamboo leaves on the branches of the tree. Color the tree with sandbar brown colored pencil.
On a separate piece of white cardstock stamp the unmounted bike in London fog.Stamp the Mini Tabby Cat in rich cocoa. Color the cat with yellow ochre. Stamp the Tiny Stiltgrass in bamboo leaves in the basket of the bike. Stamp the Tiny Flower Sprinkling in love letter and Paris dusk ink.
Color the bike with imperial violet pencil, the highlight the basket lines in 90% cool grey and color in the basket with sandbar brown. Color the seat with true blue. Color the tires with 90% cool grey.
Cut out the bike and the cat.
Rub rich cocoa ink across both sets of the gate and fencing. With your finger or a sponge rub on white pigment ink. Glue the gate to the right card flap, leaving the left part of the gate unglued. Cut off the fence nubs on the fence die and dry fit it on the right side of the card. Mark where it needs to be trimmed and cut. Do the same on the left side of the card. Glue down the fencing.
Place glue on the left side of the cat and adhere him to the left side of the flap so that the gate can slid in behind him and stay closed. Glue the bike to the right side of the card on top of the fence. Color the bike wheels and other parts of the cutout to match the fencing and greenery.
Stamp the hummingbirds in rich cocoa and color in with green and red pencils. Stamp the Tiny Happy Bird in rich cocoa and color in with yellow ochre. Stamp the sentiment in grape jelly. Brush on blue ink for the sky.
For the envelope glue the gate in the middle, but only glue the top portion to the top flap of the envelope. Trim the fencing and glue the same way to either side. Stamp the flowers and birds just like we did on the card. Color in the birds
