Cut blue card stock to A2 size 4 1/4″ wide by 5 1/2″ tall. Emboss, score and fold.

Cut a strip of red card stock 3/4″ wide by 5 1/2″ tall.

Glue red strip to blue card stock near spine.

Now, to create the monogram you can do this several ways – use a die if you have one, freehand cut if you’re that good, or do what I did. I found a font on the computer that I liked and increased the size until I found something that would fit my card. I printed it on regular paper. I lay down a piece of white card stock, then a piece of carbon paper (carbon side to the card stock), then I flipped the printed letter over, I could still see the letter through the paper. I traced the letter onto the card stock. At this point you can choose to do one of two things. You can go ahead and cut out the letter and then stamp, or you can flip the card stock over and stamp as you see the faint letter through the card stock, then cut. The latter way will ensure that you don’t have tracing lines. Now, you may figure out an even better or simplified way and that’s okay.

After transferring the letter to the card stock, follow the set instructions and stamp the letter. Fill in the birds with a marker.

Cut out the letter and glue it to a piece of red card stock. Fussy cut, leaving a thin bit of red around the letter.

Run a piece of ribbon through the card, tie into a bow and add an adhesive pearl.

That’s it!
