Instructions
The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in cream cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Heavyweight Cardstock, cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and a scrap for the die cut
Die cut a sheet of Tim Holtz Heavyweight Cardstock using the die listed above. Stamp the Mini Bare tree in a mixture of the Distress inks (listed above). Stamp the Mini Winter Oak the same way, followed by the Tiny Evergreen Trees.
Cut a piece of gold Deco Foil to a little larger than 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Turn on the laminator and set it to, “foil.”Run the Essential Glue Pad on the top fold of the embossing folder. Place the heavyweight cardstock panel in the folder and run through the embossing machine. Remove the cardstock and lay the piece of gold Deco Foil, shiny side up on the embossed paper. Place in a laminating pouch and put through the laminator. Remove it from the pouch and carefully peel away the foil.
Run the glue pad along the edge of the die cut rectangle, place a piece of foil over it and run it through the laminator the same way you did the card front.
Punch two holes a bit from the edge in the die cut rectangle and insert gold brads, foiling on the backside. Tie a gold ribbon to each one, leaving enough to wrap around the embossed card front. Attach 3-d foam tape to the back of the die cut and adhere to the embossed card front. Wrap the ribbon around the embossed front and secure with clear tape on the back.
Glue the embossed front to the card base.
