Instructions
The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in cream cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Cardstock – Yellow Orange, cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Cardstock – Red, cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Cardstock – White, cut to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
Using the blending brush apply Chianti ink along the edge of the yellow-orange cardstock.
Apply anti-static bag to the cardstock. Stamp the Mini Queen Anne’s Lace in VersaMark ink all over the cardstock, rotating the stamp between impressions. Apply white embossing powder to what you just stamped. Melt with a heat tool.
Stamp the Mini Fancy Maple Leaf in Verdant ink over the cardstock as if the leaves are falling. Clean the stamp and stamp again in Summertime ink, rotating the stamp the same as before. Stamp the Mini Fruit Leaf in Chianti ink, again rotating as if the leaves are falling. Stamp the Tiny Silver Maple Solid Leaf in Glamorous ink the same as the previous leaves. Stamp the Mini Queen Anne’s Lace Flower in Nocturne ink all over the cardstock. Set panel aside.
On the red cardstock, apply anti-static all over the panel. Mount the large Maple Leaf from the unmounted set and apply VersaMark ink. Stamp three times in the lower left and twice in the upper right corners of the red cardstock. Apply white embossing powder and melt with a heat tool.
Run the VersaMark pad all over the white leaves and a bit around the edges of the leaves. Apply the holographic embossing powder to the area you just inked. Tap gently to get rid of excess and melt with a heat tool. Fussy cut out the leaves.
From the red cardstock, die cut the largest of the two scalloped squares. Rub the VersaMark pad along the edge of this die cut. Apply holographic embossing powder, tap to remove excess and melt with a heat tool. Set aside.
From the white cardstock, die cut the smaller of the two scalloped squares. Brush Chianti ink along the edge. Stamp the Mini Fancy maple in Verdant ink in all four corners. Clean and stamp again, but just the tips of the leaf in Summertime ink along the edge of the die cut. Stamp the Tiny Silver Maple Leaf Solid in Glamorous ink along the edge of the die cut. Stamp the, “Just for You” in the center in Nocturne ink.
Glue the sentiment die cut to the holographic die cut.
Place the stamped A2 panel in portrait layout, lay the ribbon on the left about an inch from the left and secure both ends to the backside of the panel with clear tape.
Apply glue to the fussy cut leaves, but not to the edge. Leaves the edges free of glue so that they can be bent upward once it’s glue to the card front. Adhere to the top right (2 leaves) and bottom (3 leaves) of the card.
Apply foam tape to the back of the sentiment die cut and adhere to the card front between the leaves and ribbon.
Glue card front to card base.
For the envelope, mask out the area for the return and to addresses with Masking Magic. You can die cut some rectangles if you like. Brush Chianti ink along the edge of the envelope. Stamp the card in the same ink and with the same stamps as the card.
