Instructions
The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in cream cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Cardstock – Cream, cut to 5-1/8″ (used a die)
- Cardstock – Brown, die cut using Labels Large
- Cardstock – White, die cut using Labels Small
- Cardstock – Brown with white core, a strip at least 5-1/2″ torn on top and bottom
Emboss the cream card panel and brush with coffee ink. Glue to the cream card base. Tear a piece of white core brown paper and glue horizontally in the middle of the card.
Die cut the brown and white cardstock. On the white card label place the hillside stencil and brush on fern green ink, move the stencil and brush on leaf green ink. Brush on sky blue ink, covering all the white on the label. Stamp the Mini Daddy Deer in potting soil ink, the Mama Deer in coffee ink and the Baby Deer Right and Baby Deer Left in sepia ink.
Stamp the sentiment in coffee ink on a scrap of cream cardstock. Fussy cut and glue to the stamped label. Glue the stamped label to the brown label. Tie three strands of natural colored twine together with a knot at each end and no longer than the width of the card. Center and tape to the back of the label. Apply foam tape to the top and bottom of the back of the label, leaving the area where the twine is open. Adhere the label to the card in the center.
