The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base
in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of
cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take
one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the
middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
Lay the blue cardstock horizontally and make a tick mark on the right side at approximately 2-1/8″. Place the scallops upward and line the notch in the die up with the side of the cardstock, making a 90 degree angle. Line the notch on the left up the same way and apply tape to the scallop part of the die and run through die machine. Set this die cut away for later.
Lay the tag die and label die on the small piece of cream cardstock, taping them down if needed and run through the die machine. Do this twice for the label die. Place the label die on the small piece of green cardstock and run through the die machine, so you’ll have 2 cream and one green die cut of the label. For the other curvy border die, on the A2 cream panel measure from the top left down and place a tick mark at approximately 3-1/2″ and line up the notch at that mark on the left and line up the notch on the right.
WE need to mark the area for stamping. Lay the card base down, place the cream die cut on top and the blue die cut on the bottom and while holding the blue die cut in line with the card gently run a pencil under the die cut to mark off, yet hide the mark. For the top die cut, hold it in place in line with the base and run the colored pencil along the edge of it. Set aside the die cuts for later.
Stamp the Min Teapot in cyan ink within the stamping area. Stamp the Mini Teapot in smoke blue ink. Stamp the Tiny Teacup in sky blue. Stamp the Tiny Leaf in green tea and the Tiny Flowers in amethyst. Set aside.
On the cream top border, stamp the Tiny Leaf in green tea and stamp again without re-inking for a variation in color. Do this all over the panel. Stamp the Tiny Flowers in ash rose ink. Set aside.
On the cream tag, measure up from the bottom 3/4″ and cut at that line. You can use scissors, or to make the take look more die cut you can use the largest die in this set to cut off the bottom by running it through the die machine. It will give it the stitched look and will blend better than using scissors.
Ink the Mini Time for Tea in amethyst ink in the middle of the tag. Stamp the Tiny Leaf in green tea ink three times around the tea tag. Stamp the same around the edge, stamping once and then again without re-inking. Run the pad along the edge of the tag to give a nice green edge. Stamp the Tiny Flowers in amethyst and cyan ink.
Fold the thin ribbon in half and poke the folded part through the hole in the tag, bring the tails of the ribbon up and through the loo and pull. Set aside.
Mount the sentiment and the decorative stamp on an acrylic block and stamp in a light colored ink toward the left of the tag. Trace with the white gel pen.
On the blue die cut stamp the Tiny Leaf and Tiny Flowers in VersaMark ink all over the panel. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and melt with a heat tool.
On the piece of scrap white paper, stamp the Mini Teapot in amethyst and the Tiny Teacups in cyan ink. Using a craft knife, cut of the inside of the teapot handle. Glue the Teapot and Teacup to the green sentiment tag, off to the right. Trace all the scrolls of the sentiment tag with the silver gel pen. With a ruler draw a box around the sentiment with the gel pen, where the scroll ends. Glue the two cream colored die cuts together and then glue on top of those the green die cut.
Now, let’s assemble the card! Glue the cream die cut to the top of the card base. Put some sticky glue line on the wide ribbon and wrap it around the blue die cut, (about in the middle) and secure to the back with tape. Glue the blue die cut to the bottom of the card base.
Place a ruler along the perimeter of the card, about a pen width and run the silver pen along the top and sides (stop at the blue die cut). Run the pen free hand along the bottom edge of the top die cut. On the blue die cut create stitch lines with the pen on both sides and bottom and in the embossed area of the scallops across the top.
Trace along the scallops of the blue die cut with the colored pencil.
Glue the tag to the left part of the card, over the ribbon and glue the sentiment label to right of the tag, overlapping it just a bit. Trim the ribbons and use a glue dot to adhere one to the card base.
For the envelope, trace a smaller Gina K Die for the return label area and a larger one for the to area suing the silver gel pen. Stamp the Mini Teapot in cyan ink , the Tiny Teacup in sky blue ink and again in smoke blue ink on either side of the Teapot. Stamp the Tiny Leaves around that in green tea and stamp the Tiny Flowers in amethyst ink. Do this three times across the bottom of the envelope. Stamp the, Mini Time for Tea in the top left of the to tag. Stamp the flowers and leaves using the inks you used for the bottom – do this in the end of the tags where the hole is located. Stamp To: and From: in the appropriate tags in amethyst ink. Add white Nuvo Drops to the ribbon.
