Window Box Card – Between the Paving Stones

I LOVE window boxes and I’ve been itching to make a window box card. I did not have a die for the window box, so I created a template which can be cut out.

  • Cardstock – Brown
  • Cardstock – White
  • Tracing paper
  • Craft Knife
  • Ruler
  • Embroidery Thread
  • Hole Punch
  • Tape, Clear
  • Acrylic Paint – White and Brown
  • Brush – Filbert
  • Chalk – Yellow

Instructions

Print template PDF on brown paper.

Cut the gray card stock to 4 1/4″ wide by 11″ tall, score at 5 1/2″ and fold, creating the card base.Cut out the plain rectangle from the template.

Open the card base and place the rectangle 1″ from the fold and center. While holding the template in place, slowly score around the rectangle with the craft; knife. You can also trace the rectangle and cut along the lines with the craft knife if you prefer.

Glue a piece of thick paper to the underside of the window and window box. Let dry.

With a brush, paint the window and window box. Let dry.

Cut out the window and window box with an craft knife, using a ruler as a guide.

Apply a think line of glue around the window only (don’t glue the window panes).

Glue the window to the card base, lining it up with the hoe you created earlier, it should fit perfectly.

Stamp the flowers from the set on white card stock following the instructions included in the set. Just make a bunch of these, you’ll fussy cut and try different stampings to get the right fit.
