The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base
in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of
cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take
one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the
middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!

For the other cuts you’ll need:

  • Cardstock – White, cut to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and a scrap

Trace the inside of the die with a pencil. Stamp the Mini Cedar Branch in Shady Lane ink, orienting the stem of the stamp to the border and leaving some space for subsequent impressions – I do an alternating pattern of stamping. Clean the stamp and now go the opposite direction with the same stamp in Verdant ink. Stamp several times without re-inking for a variation in color.

Stamp the Mini Bow in Tulip Red ink in the center of the bottom of the border. Stamp the Mini Zig Zag Ornament in Blue Belle ink all around the border. Clean and stamp the Mini Zig Zag Ornament again in Warm Breeze ink. Stamp the Tiny Round Ornament in Monarch ink and the Tiny Zig Zag Ornament in Paradise ink.

Stamp sentiment in Tulip Red ink  in the center of the border. With the red pencil add some hand drawn swirls within the border. Using a ruler, draw a line down the outer edge of the card. Add green ink to the edge of the card with a make-up blending brush.

On a scrap piece of white cardstock, stamp the, “I Like Hanging with You” sentiment. Stamp a few ornaments close to the sentiment and then using the ornament die, cut out the sentiment. Blend red ink around the outer edge with a make-up blending brush.

Open the card base, slip on an embossing folder and emboss. Glue the stamp card front to the embossed card base and glue sentiment to the inside of the card.

For the envelope, stamp the sentiment, “Christmas Greetings” in red ink at the V of the envelope. Stamp the Mini Cedar Branch along the flap in Shady Lane ink and again in Verdant ink. Stamp two Cedar Branches under the sentiment and two ornaments in blue inks between that.
