Create an A2 criss cross card (http://www.scor-pal.com/dec_magazine/Criss%20Cross%20Card%20Feb%201.pdf) – with red cardstock.
Using the triangular pieces that you cut from the red card base, make a template for the white card stock you’ll stamp and glue to the front of the card base. Be sure to cut them a bit shorter to allow for a red border.
Stamp on the white card stock according to the set’s instructions, then brush the edges of each triangle with bamboo leaves ink.
Glue stamped triangles to the card base. Run a thin bead of glue along the bottom of the right flap, creating a bottom for the “pocket.” On the left flap, run a thin bead of glue along the bottom and up half of the the triangle, securing it to the right flap.
Brush bamboo leaves ink on wooden button and thread and loop sew with embroidery floss and glue button in place.
To create the inside card, cut a piece of green card stock to 5 1/4″ wide by 3 15/16″ tall. Round corners with punch. Cut a piece of white card stock 4 3/4″ wide by 3″ tall, stamp with sentiment. Glue white card stock to green card stock, leaving an even border of green around the card.
On a scrap piece of white card stock, stamp flowers in pink, burgundy, and camellia and leaves in green tea. Fussy cut 5 flowers and 3 leaves and glue to inside card.
Slip inside card into pocket card base and that it’s – a beautiful card that’s as fun to give as it is to make!
