The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Cardstock – Red, 4-1/8″ x 5-1/2″ and a scrap piece for cutting second smallest circle die
Let’s first die cut our inverted circles. Die cut the smallest circle using the scrap of white paper and die cut the scrap red cardstock using the second smallest die cut.
Open the card base and place the curved die (scallop side toward bottom right corner) along the lower section of the card front. Tape die to secure.
Place the snowflake die cut in the center of the card front about 1/2″ from the top. Tape to secure. Run through the die machine and using the craft tool, poke out any chads.
Place the red cardstock inside the card base, lining up the bottom and right side. Close the card and draw an, “X” in the center of the snowflake.
Place the smallest inverted circle die on top of the, “X” tape to secure and die cut.
Place the red cardstock back inside the card base and line up the die cuts. With the stylus, press between the scallops of the curved white border. With a pencil draw a line above the impressions you made so you’ll know where the border goes so you’ll know where to stamp.
Stamp the Mini Snowflake in Picket Fence ink on the red cardstock in the area below the line you just drew.
Place the card base, opened, on the Stamp-N-Storage Magnet Card, lining up the right side and bottom corner of the red cardstock to the white base. Then, use magnets to hold the red cardstock in place.
Attach 1/8′ Scor-Tape on the backside of the white cardstock, around the snowflake die cut. Remove the tape baking and gently fold the card front, adhering the red cardstock to the white base.
On the small white die cut, stamp the Mini Love Postage in the center of the circle. Cover the entire front of stamped die cut with VersaMark ink and holding the die cut with tweezers, sprinkle die cut with holographic embossing powder. Melt powder with a heat tool. Glue to the red die cut.
With the card shut draw a hexagon the center die cut area. Open the card and place the sentiment die cut on the back of the card front, adjusting the sentiment to get it looking good through the hole. Adhere to card front with tape.
Cover the front of the card with masking tape (measures a little bit bigger than 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″).
Using the largest circle die, cut out a piece of masking paper. Open the card and place the circle mask over the hexagon you drew earlier, just centering it side to side.
With a make up brush apply vermilion ink, brushing from the mask outward. Remove the mask.
Stamp the Tiny Tree in Library Green ink along the outside edge of the wreath template. Stamp the Tiny Bell in Watering can ink, follow with the Mini Snowflake in black ink, and again in Vermilion ink. Stamp the Tiny Ornament in Vermilion ink and again in black ink. Finally the Mini Antler Left and Right in Potting Soil ink.
Remove the purple tape from the face of the card front and keeping the sentiment in place, add Scor-Tape to the back side of the sentiment. Remove the tape backing with the craft pick. Close the card, press and now the sentiment is in the center of the wreath!
Remove the masking paper from the front of the card.
For the envelope, stamp the bottom front using the same stamps and inks that you did for the wreath in the card.
