Instructions
The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Cardstock – Brown, die cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″and an 8″ x 8″ sheet for an envelope.
Stamp the, “Love Blooms” sentiment in white ink at the bottom of the brown cardstock. Stamp the bird with a heart in his beak on the, “m” of the sentiment. Place a circle die toward the top of the card and trace with a pencil. Sketch out the branches and trunk of the tree. Note that the more branches you make will give you less room for placing hearts.
Stamp various hearts in white ink in between the branches and right up to the circle. Once you’ve filed out the circle with hearts, color in the branches and trunk with a white colored pencil and erase the regular pencil lines of the circle.
You can choose to create stitch lines with the colored pencil or with the white gel pen. You can also trace over the sentiment and bird with the gel pen if you want it to be a brighter white.
Glue to the white card base.
Using the Scor Envi on top of the Scor Pal, follow the instructions to create an envelope with the 8″ x 8″ brown cardstock. Stamp the other bird from the unmounted set along with the clear hearts in white ink on the flap on the envelope.
