The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base
in green cardstock that is top folding. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of
cardstock in the middle at the 4-1/4″ mark on the short side. Then take
one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the
middle on the long edge at 5-1/2″. Now, you have a base!
For the other paper, cut two pieces of white cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″. This will be the embossed section and the stamped section for the front. Both will be cut in half.
From scrap paper, using a nested rectangle die set cut out a white rectangle and a one-size-larger green rectangle. Mount the, “Thank Hoo” stamp with Aleene’s Tack it Over and Over onto an acrylic block. Stamp it in green ink on the white die cut rectangle. Stamp the Mini Owl Peg Stamp in brown ink at the top of the, “Hoo.” Glue this rectangle to the green rectangle.
Open your embossing folder and rub green ink across the raised portion on the flap that does not have the logo (or switch it up and ink the flap with the logo). Spray one of the pieces of white cardstock with water and place onto the embossing folder. Run through die cutting machine. Cut the embossed paper in half (place paper end (left side) at 2-1/2″ and then add 1/8″). Cut the other white cardstock panel in half like we did above.
So you could get 2 cards out of this tutorial, just create another green card base.
Stamp the Tiny Flower in blue ink. Clean the stamp and stamp in yellow ink, again in green ink. Stamp the Tiny Sprig in green ink. Stamp the Mini Atomic Starburst in yellow ink.
Place the embossed half and the stamped half together, flip and tape together on the back side. Trim if necessary. Apply glue to ribbon and adhere to the front of the card where the two panels meet. Flip over and tape to the back.
Glue the embossed/stamped panel to the green card base. Place foam tape on the back of the sentiment die cut and adhere to the front of the card, centered on the ribbon.
To make the envelope cut a piece of green cardstock to 8-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Using the instructions on the back of the EK Scoring Board create the envelope. Glue the envelope flaps together. Punch the point of the envelope flap with the corner rounder. Stamp the Mini Owl in the center of the envelope flap and stamp, “Hoot Hoot” above the Owl in white pigment ink. Stamp the flower and sprig in white ink.
