Matchbook Gate Picket Fence Card

Matchbook Gate Picket Fence Card by Renee Lewis

Are you looking for a unique card to say, “thank you?” Why not try this card that features a white picket fence gate made from none other than matchbook matches! The gate, the focal point of this card, has hinges made with copper brads and a fussy cut rose bouquet on the center of the gate. An arbor of roses stamped and fussy cut using our Summer Roses Peg Stamp Set highlights the gate in beautiful pink, red, and green inks. So where is the “thank you,” you may wonder. Well, when you open the gate you’ll discover a ribbon inside with a circle die cut that’s stamped in black, “thank you.”

Let’s take a look at how the card is constructed. Firstly, start with an A2 base in white cardstock make sure to embossed and edged it in lilac ink. Secondly, glue a green hand-cut arbor shape that is embossed with a dot pattern to the base. Thirdly, stamp on a white, arbor-shape piece of cardstock using the stamps from Summer Roses Peg Stamp Set and fussy cut along the outer edges with a pair of fine tipped scissors. Glue this piece to the green cardstock. Fourthly and finally, glue the white picket fence gate with all its embellishments to the center of the arbor! Now, you have a beautiful card!

This card was created by Renee Lewis and we are thrilled to showcase it.
