Additional Supplies

  • Cardstock – White
  • Pencil
  • Die – 3.5″
  • Brilliance – Galaxy Gold
  • Marker – Tombow N15
  • Brutus Monroe Magic Powder Bag

The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an 4″ x 4″ base in white cardstock. So, to make the base, cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock in the middle at the 4-1/4″ mark on the short side. Then take one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 5-1/2″. Then, place the folded part at 4-1/4″ on your paper trimmer and shop off the excess. Now, you have a 4″ x 4″ base! Put a pencil mark at the top fold at 2″.

Cut a piece of Masking Magic to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Place a 3-1/2″ die centered top to bottom on the 5-1/2″ side and cut. Using a T-square mark the halfway points on all sides with a pencil.

Cut another piece of Masking Magic that is 5-1/2″ x 1″ and mark the halfway point through it with the ruler.

Place the mask over the card lining it up with the lines. Place the 1″ strip across the middle of the circle using your lines to center it, press it to the card and it will hold everything together.

Gently lift the top and bottoms of the mask and rub Brutus Monroe Magic Powder to keep the embossing powder in place.

Trace the inside of the circle and along the mask that crosses the center of the circle with Quickie Glue. Apply the embossing powder, shake off excess, and melt with heat tool.

Apply Magic Powder to the center of the circle. Mount the sentiment stamp and ink it with any pigment ink. Stamp in the area between the circles, apply embossing powder, remove excess, and melt with a heat tool.

Place the mack back over the embossing, using the pencil lines to get it in place. Now, stamp the Mini Mum, but keep the entire stamp within the mask. Only stamp onto the mask in the center of the circle if need be. Start with Charming Pink, stamping five times within the entire circle. Next, clean the stamp and use Monarch, stamping three times. Finish with Fantasia, stamping four times. Now, stamp the Tiny Open Mum in Morning Mist in the white areas.

Stamp the Mini Leaf in Shady Lane in between the flowers. Fill the veins of the leaves with Wink of Stella Green. Fill in the Open Mum with Wink of Stella Gold.

Brush Archival Buttercup ink over everything  with a Tonic Blending Brush. Remove the mask.

For the rest of the cards, it’s going to be basically the same except to get a faux embossed look you’ll use a Uni-Ball gold gel pen and Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink for the sentiment. The other card uses a black Tombow marker (bullet end) and the sentiment is stamped in VersaFine Nocturne ink.

For the envelope cut  apiece of white cardstock 6-3/4″ x 6-3/4″. Stamp all over the cardstock using the same colors as the card. Color in the leaves and open flowers, just like we did for the card and brush on yellow ink.

Place the cardstock on the Scor-Pal with the cardstock with the stamped side down and score at 3-3/4″ rotate and score at and 8-1/4″.  Rotate and do the same. Trim the corners, fold and glue together.
