This is such a fun card that uses many cool elements - making a wreath, stenciling and Nuvo drops!
- Cardstock – Cream
- Cardstock – Kraft
- Make-up Brush (Dollar Tree)
- Paper Trimmer
- Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped
- Circles Large (second from smallest)
- Ribbon – Green
The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need a 5″ x 5″ base
in cream cardstock. So, to make the base you’ll need an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cream cardstock. Cut 3-1/2 inches off the 8-1/2″ end and 1″ off the 11″ side, making a 5″ x 10″ piece of cardstock.
Then place on a paper scoring board and score in the middle on the long edge at 5″. Now, you have a base!
For the other cuts you’ll need:
- Cardstock – Cream, cut to 4-3/4″ x 4-3/4″
- Cardstock – Kraft, cut to approx. 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ and 2″ x 2″
- Cardstock – White (12″ x 12″), cut to 8-3/4″ x 8-3/4″
Die cut the small stitched circle (3rd from the smallest). Mount the sentiment. In Shady Lane, ink just the word, “thanks” and place a piece of purple tape over the rest of the sentiment. Stamp at the top of the circle. Then ink the word, “for” and mask off, “thanks” and, “sticking with me.” Stamp this under the first word. Now ink up, “sticking,” and mask out the other words. Stamp. Ink up, “with me,” and mask the rest of the sentiment and stamp at the bottom of the circle. Glue it to the scalloped craft circle.
On the cream panel, place the sentiment in the center. Ink up the Mini Hens and Chicks Mama and stamp 5 times in shady lane ink around the sentiment. Stamp the Mini Wonky Succulent in Verdant ink, placing it near the first stamping. Stamp the Mini Frilly Succulent in Green Oasis ink, again placing it near the other succulents. Stamp the Tiny Hens and Chicks Baby in Chianti, nestling it in with the other succulents. Stamp the Tiny Star Succulent in Shady Lane ink, filling in the bare areas of the wreath. Stamp the Tiny Hens and Chicks Baby in Verdant. Stamp the Tiny Star Succulent in Acorn ink. To fill in the wreath and make it more round, stamp the Tiny Hens and Chicks Baby in Verdant ink on a scrap paper and then fill in the bare areas of the wreath with the second stamping. Continue to do this until the wreath is filled in and looks lush.
Place the Bubbles stencil on the corner of the panel and apply Vintage Photo ink with a make-up brush, working from the outside in. Move the stencil around the card, trying not to over lap it. Run the ink pad along the edge of the card and brush along the edge as well.
Add foam tape to the back of the sentiment die cut and attach to the center of the wreath. Cut in half the kraft square using a paper trimmer. Place a triangle on the bottom right corner of the panel and move it down, so that not as much of the corner is covered by the kraft paper. This is to leave room for a ribbon to go across the front. Make a mark on the corner kraft piece for cutting. Copy the marking on the other corner and trim along the tick mark. Brush Vintage Photo on the edges of the triangles. Glue to the bottom right and top left corners. Wrap ribbon the the front just above where the kraft corners start and a bit through the wreath. Tape on the back. Come up under that ribbon with a small piece of ribbon of the same color and a thinner ribbon of another shade of green and tie a knot. Trim the ends of both ribbons.
Glue to the base of the card. After the bottle of Nuvo Drops has warmed from body heat, apply one drop to the bottom right corner and four to the top left corner.
For the envelope, cut a piece of 12″ x 12″ white paper to 8-3/4″ x 8-3/4″. Put the Scor-Envi on your Scor-Pal, place the paper on the Scor-Pal and score at 3-1/4″ and 8-3/4″ turn the paper and score at 3-1/4″ and 8-3/4″. Clip the triangular edges, fold (with the bump inside), and trim the flap with a 1″ corner rounder punch. Trim any edges and glue together. To decorate the front brush Vintage Photo ink onto the stencil and stamp a variety of succulents across the bottom of the card.
