The first thing that we will do is prepare our paper. We need an A2 base
in white cardstock. So, to make the base cut an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of
cardstock in the middle at the 5-1/2″ mark on the long side. Then take
one of those pieces and place on a paper scoring board and score in the
middle on the long edge at 4-1/4″. Now, you have a base! Now, cut a piece of gold cardstock to 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and a piece of white cardstock to 5-1/4″ x 4″.
Tear a piece of painter’s tape that’s longer than the width of the card. Stick the tape to a sweater or cloth to make it less stick. Even though it’s an easy-release tape it WILL stick to paper and rip it.
When making a border, you want to ensure that you stamp completely along the mask. If you have spaces, it’s not going to look like a border.
Stamp the Mini Poppy in pink and purple along the top and bottom of the tape. Stamp the Tiny Flower in orange. Stamp the Tiny Leaf in dark green. Stamp the Mini Sprig in light green.
Gently remove the tape and set aside and let dry. These particular inks are quite juicy and take a while to dry.
Tear off the 1/8″ double sided Scor-Tape and apply it at the bottom and top of the border, placing it a bit over the stamping you did.
Rub anti-static powder all over the area between the tape. Ink up the sentiment in VersaMark ink and stamp in the center between the Scor-Tape.
Remove the release paper on the tape. Sprinkle the sentiment and tape with embossing powder. Brush away any powder that are in areas that they should not be. Melt with a heat tool.
Glue the stamped panel to the gold cardstock.Glue that to the card base.
For the envelope, stamp the flowers, leaves, and sprigs along the flap of the card in the same colors that we stamped the border.
